I just bought this knife less than an hour ago. I was excited to get home and try it out. My excitement went away when I seen that the blade centering is completely off, the blade is a little wobbly, and there is also some rattling sound that is happening inside of the knife. I really like the feel and the possible functionality of this knife, but I just don't and won't feel safe using it. I really hope that I just bought a defected one. I really would like to give this knife a try. Also some of the handle is loose. And not lining up right with the stainless steel end. I still look forward to purchasing from you all, just going to be more careful next time.

I have treasured this knife since the day I got it and have found it to be by far one of the best folding knives I've owned. I've dropped it on tile flooring and it wasn't even scuffs or damaged in anyway. The best thing about Gerber is that they even replaced my broken one without any issues thanks to the life time warranty.

This was my first EDC knife. I knew it was a lower quality steel and figured I would replace it after a year or so, but just cant find a better knife for the price. The blade holds a decent edge, and although I dont think I could ever get it razor sharp, it is sharp enough for my daily tasks.

my EDC go to knife, it just plain works. would love a locking screwdriver. if you where getting exotic, a glass break too,,, I particularly love the metal pummel. It's been know to serve as a hammer on occasion. my only concern with it and most with a clip is b/c i carrying ALWAYS,, i have scrapped my kitchen chairs and car door with it.. I think I'll try to put some sort of rubber on the clip

This knife is by far the most valued knife I own. I've had it for over 6 years and carry it daily. It's seen action in Africa, Asia, and Europe. I use the knife daily. It's very well built, holds a sharp edge, and has gotten me out of a jam more than once with the additional tools built into it. I thought I had lost it once and felt alone without it. I was going to buy another and then found it a couple months later. I just bought my uncle one...he's been eyeing mine for a couple of years now. I give my highest recommendation for this knife as an all around excellent knife to carry.

This is the most useful everyday pocket knife I have ever owned. It sits clipped in my right front pocket every day, and I can't remember a day the Obsidian didn't help me at least once. It'll cut cloth, plastic, rope, wood, cardboard, game, or food. It'll serve as a screwdriver when I'm away from by toolbox, and a bottle opener when I'm not in the kitchen. Sharpen it once a week, and this will be a friend for life.

I'm on my second, and buying more! The lock shut lock open feature makes it a safer knife, the extra tools make it great. I have carried a pocket knife every day for 14+ years. I've had others come open in my pocket and luckily only cut my jeans. Don't have to worry how bad that could go anoymore. Blade holds up well to farm, hunting and fishing chores. It's a great folding pocket knife.

Found one of these on a ranch I used to work at. Nobody claimed it, I kept it, fell in love with it, and lost it. Bought a second one, then found the first! I've had it for almost 5 years now, and it has been the best knife I have ever had. I carry and use it daily, and it keeps its edge really well. I would (and have already recommended) recommend it to anyone looking for a good knife.

The Obsidian is an awesome knife I have owned mine for about five years and carry it daily. I would give 5 star except for one minor issue... the tools do not have a lock like the blade does. that would be a great improvement to an already awesome too.

I've taken this knife camping many times and though I've purchased other knives thinking I'd replace this one, I always come back to using it. The opening is smooth, the lock is steady and true, and the blade is robust and holds an edge. I've used the bottle opener for some Dr. Peppers quite often as well. Great knife all around.

I own two Obsidiian's (i thought I lost one, bought another, then found the first...) and they are great general purpose knives. The blades stay sharp for a while before needing sharpening, they open smoothly and the locking mechinism works flawlessly. My only complaint is the screwdriver tools (both of them) are a bit weak, on one of the knives, they bent hard and required a bit of hammering to straighten out, just to fold up again. Otherwise, the blade, the reason I bought it, it nice.

I really like this knife, except for one part of it. After several weeks of normal usage the screw holding the clip onto the the knife stripped the holes and the clip fell off. It appeared that the screws were only screwed into the plastic on the handle instead of into the metal.

I have had this knife for several years and it is still holding up. I do bassically everything with this knife but it refuses to break. The button that opens it is also a great feature. I can just push it down then flick my wrist and it comes right out.

Had this knife several years. Holds an edge very well and the extra tools definitely come in handy! Used it to make a chimney charcoal fire starter out of an old coffee can. Stabbed several dozen holes in the bottom of the can. Absolutely zero damage to the blade! Unfortunately I lost it somewhere. Will certainly be getting another soon!
